Optimares has reached an important milestone with the selection of its innovative business class seat, SoFab, for the ADI Index 2024. This recognition not only confirms the excellence of Italian design but also highlights the company’s commitment to sustainable and cutting-edge solutions for the aircraft interiors sector. The inclusion of SoFab in the ADI Index represents a significant step toward participation in the Compasso d’Oro Award 2026, one of the most prestigious design awards internationally.
A PRODUCT THAT REDEFINES ONBOARD COMFORT AND EFFICIENCY
SoFab is more than just a seat: it is a revolution in the way we experience air travel. Designed to meet the needs of both passengers and airlines, SoFab combines luxury, comfort, sustainability, and accessibility.
Seat accessibility is also enhanced for passengers with limited mobility or disabilities, ensuring an equally enjoyable travel experience. Another innovative feature is the non-electric transformation mechanism, allowing the seat to convert into a spacious and comfortable bed while reducing the overall weight of the structure and, consequently, the aircraft’s fuel consumption.
By eliminating unnecessary electrical components, SoFab offers more storage space for passengers’ personal items and reduces maintenance needs. Additionally, the seat is made from eco-friendly materials, such as recycled fabrics and water-based paints, which minimize environmental impact throughout the product’s lifecycle.
RECOGNITION FOR OUR PARTNERS
The selection of SoFab also highlights Optimares’ commitment to seeking operational partners capable of elevating product standards. Thanks to leading design partners like Goood and material specialists such as Poltrona Frau, SoFab represents the perfect balance between design and functionality.
PARTICIPATION IN THE ADI DESIGN INDEX 2024 EXHIBITION IN MILAN AND ROME
Optimares has the opportunity to showcase SoFab in two prestigious venues: the ADI Design Museum in Milan and the WeGil space in Rome. These exhibitions result from the selection conducted by the Permanent Design Observatory, which includes products or product systems from various fields, as well as theoretical and critical research, process research, and business research applied to design.
Stay tuned for updates on this extraordinary seat and how Optimares is reshaping air travel experiences.
